Do you ever feel you've done something wrong
and there's no way God's going to forgive you?
Here is some great help straight from Himself :
Leviticus 26.42-44 says basically that God will not totally reject you, even for serious sins. Even if you do these things and think you won't be forgiven -- you will. It's promised!
Numbers 14.18 reminds us that even though God forgives us, we still must be punished.
2 Chronicles 7.14 tells us if you pray and turn from your old ways God will forgive you. Remember that it's not going to be "pray and I'll forget it." You have to change -- God has standards for you.
Ezra 3.1-6 shows us that even if you do bad you can always make a fresh start. Listen to "Every New Day" by Five Iron Frenzy!
Psalm 32.2-5 shows us that God will punish us if we try and keep quiet about our sins.
Psalm 51.7-12 says that God will forgive and forget, but if your sin involves others, you should tell them you asked for forgiveness and repented to God.
Isaiah 1.15-19 tells that it's not too late to experience God's forgiveness, but you must change first.
Jonah, throughout the whole book it is shown that God usually gives us a second chance.
Matthew 18.15-17 is about forgiveness and friends.
Mark 3.22-30 tells us about blasphemy*, the only unforgiveable sin.
John 8.1-11 says God will forgive, but he says "Go and sin no more."
Acts 24.16 talks about our conscience
Romans 4.1-8 reminds us that God does give us our own free will, like he did the Pharoah. We have the choice to do bad things.
1 Timothy 1.15 says that God forgives.
Hebrews 8.12 tells us specifically that God will forgive us... and remember our sins no more!
*My thoughts on blasphemy are that it's basically killing yourself -- the only way you can really go against the Holy Spirit (which gives you life).
